Merrick Community Services provides essential core services aimed at improving the lives of the residents of Saint Paul’s East Side by empowering individuals, strengthening families, and promoting their independence.
Employment & Career Services
The Employment Services program provides a number of resources and skills to enable clients the tools identify and obtain career opportunities. These resources provided unemployed and underemployed adults with resume building, job searches, email access, professional computer skills, as well as help to identify employment references and interview skills.

Merrick’s Family Services Family Caseworkers utilize intervention and prevention resources, tools, information, and referrals to address and/or service the comprehensive and complex needs of the whole family. Through the provision of culturally appropriate community resources, information and referral services; and individual and family case management services they strive to connect the family with resources in their community that will address their immediate needs.
Nutrition & Senior Services
The Food Shelf program provides fresh and healthy food to low income residents on the East Side of St. Paul at its main facility in Saint Paul, MN. Utilizing a Client Choice model, participants can shop for their specific needs while satisfying individual, family, and cultural preferences. The program features both mobile food shelves and multicultural produce distributions.
The Senior Services program is dedicated to providing services that enable area seniors to remain independent and to continue living in their own homes for as long as possible. Operating the largest Meals on Wheels program in Ramsey County, nutritious food is delivered daily to elderly residents in East Saint Paul. The program also features Senior Mobile distributions and Social Groups to encourage community interaction.
