2022 March Food Drive

The past year has brought many challenges, most prominently to those already facing a myriad of systemic disparities. As we step into a new March, it is more important than ever to walk alongside our East Side Saint Paul neighbors facing hunger; within our deep challenge, we are invited to cultivate a deep care for one another.

Our goal in 2022 is to raise $55,000.00. Your donations make a difference; for each $100.00 donated, approximately 300 meals can be provided for hungry families. In this time of unveiled need, we strive to exceed last year’s efforts.

Can you help your neighbors with a food or monetary donation this March?

Since 1908, Merrick Community Services has been serving Saint Paul’s East Metro through a variety of programs and services. Your donation can inspire hope and create opportunities for a brighter future on the East Side. We look forward to continuing to serve the community and working together to empower individuals, strengthen families, and promote independence!

Donations to our nonprofit organization are tax deductible. Our tax ID is 41-0693851.

Employer Gift Matching

Employee matching gifts or funds are grants an employer makes to match its employees’ charitable contributions. Usually associated with corporate grantmakers, employee matching gifts are often dollar-for-dollar, but some companies will give double or even triple the original donation. Some companies may also give matching gifts for employees’ volunteer efforts.

Procedures vary with each company. Information about their matching gift benefits are usually available from the human resources department.

  1. Ask your company’s human resource office, personnel department, or community relations office if your company has a matching gift program.
  2. If so, ask for a matching gift form and follow the instructions on the form when you make youdonation.
  3. When you make a donation to Merrick Community Services, your company will also make a gift, in some cases, double the amount of your gift.
