Merrick’s Career Services program is dedicated to providing resources and skills to assist participants in identifying training opportunities in preparing for a career.  These resources provide unemployed and underemployed adults with resume building, job searches, email access, job readiness training, weekly job clubs, professional computer skills, as well as help to identify employment references and interview skills.  Additionally, Merrick offers a 6 – 8 week Construction Training Program at various times throughout the year.

Staff work with employers to provide pre-screened, qualified job applicants, which are achieved through the Construction Training Program and Employment Readiness training program.   Merrick also provides employment partners with on-going supports and open lines of communication.  Our experience has been that, once a Merrick participant is hired into an organization, they not only excel but also are committed to building a career and growing with the business.
