Food Shelf Volunteering

Thank you for your interest in Merrick’s Meals Food Shelf. The Merrick Food Shelf serves from 80 -100 families on any given distribution day. Volunteers are needed in various ways. In order to learn more about who you are and where you are from please fill out the Food Shelf Volunteer Application online. Our Meals on Wheels lead will connect with you upon receipt of your application. Food Distribution

Shifts are available Mondays 3pm 5pm, Tuesdays and Wednesdays 10 am-12 pm. Positions include, stocking shelves, unloading and organizing boxed and packaged food, we also have intake and data positions open as well. Some lifting up to 20 pounds.

If you are unable to volunteer during distribution hours, we have additional shifts that we can offer based or your availability.
