Longtime Merrick supporters, Bill Nisbit and Audrey Forceia, volunteering their time at the 2017 Holiday Share.

On December 16th & 18th of 2017, the Merrick Community Center hosted its annual Holiday Share celebration, featuring a toy distribution for East Side Saint Paul families in need.

Thanks to the generosity of our community partners and volunteers, Merrick was able to serve 579 families during this years’ Celebration. That means that 1,459 individuals and children received gifts and essential needs items this Holiday Season!

Special thanks from our participants

I just started working and have a lot of bills to catch up on. We have to get all new furniture and household items due to a flood in our home. We really appreciate the extra help as I don’t have much money leftover after paying bills with only one income.”

Each year the students always talk about how this is one of their highlight experiences during their year, and this year is no exception… I sometimes forget to mention it, but oftentimes our students return to their home countries as alumni filled with new ideas for community service in their home communities, inspired by their direct experience here.”
