Meals on Wheels Delivery Driver
Monthly commitment – one assigned day per month from 10:45am to Noon (Monday though Friday) Individuals or pairs can sign up for a monthly “meal shift” (i.e. the first Monday of the month). Drivers may be able to choose a “route” upon availability and will be in charge of delivering hot meals to seniors in their homes over the course of an hour. Some seniors enjoy socializing during the meal drop-off, others are happy just to see a friendly face. Volunteers must have a valid driver’s license, have their own transportation, and must pass a background check.
Meals on Wheels Kitchen Helper
We are seeking an individual to help prepare meals for delivery. This position ideally would be a weekly commitment, but there is flexibility in scheduling. The hours are 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and involves following lists of food requests, putting meals into the ovens and preparing bags for the route drivers. This position can also be paired with taking a route following kitchen help duties. Volunteers must pass a background check and if driving a valid driver’s license, and their own transportation.
